The Forexiz Demo Account: Why Every Trader Should Start Here

By Forexiz Team

Every professional trader in the world started somewhere. Most of them started by losing money. The Forexiz demo account lets you skip the expensive part of the learning curve — make all your beginner mistakes with virtual money, on real market conditions.

What Is the Demo Account?

Every Forexiz account comes with a free demo mode. When you switch to demo, you get a virtual $10,000 balance. You can trade any of the 38+ instruments — forex, stocks, commodities, indices, crypto — at live market prices. Profits and losses are virtual. You can't lose real money.

How to Switch to Demo Mode

  1. Open Forexiz and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile icon or go to the Profile page.
  3. Toggle "Demo Mode" on.
  4. Your balance switches to the virtual $10,000. The interface shows an orange banner reminding you that you're in demo mode.
  5. To switch back to live trading, toggle Demo Mode off.
Your demo and live accounts are completely separate. Trades, balances, and history don't overlap. You can switch between them at any time.

What to Practice in Demo

1. Placing trades

Get familiar with the Forexiz trading interface. Open positions, set Stop Losses and Take Profits, monitor your P&L, and close trades. The muscle memory you build in demo will serve you in live trading.

2. Position sizing

Practice the 2% rule: calculate your maximum risk per trade, set a Stop Loss, and reverse-engineer the position size. Do this manually for every demo trade until it becomes automatic.

3. Strategy testing

Try the strategies from the Forexiz blog — RSI divergence, London open breakouts, support/resistance trading. See which strategies match your personality and schedule. Track results in a journal.

4. Emotional awareness

Even with virtual money, you'll feel the pull of greed and fear. Notice when you're tempted to move a Stop Loss, over-leverage, or revenge-trade after a loss. These feelings will be 10x stronger in live trading — identify them now.

5. Market hours and behaviour

Trade during different sessions — Asian, London, New York. Notice how volatility changes. Learn which instruments move at which times. This knowledge is invaluable and can only be gained through screen time.

When to Move to Live Trading

There's no universal answer, but here are benchmarks:

  • You've completed at least 50 demo trades following a consistent strategy.
  • You're profitable over a meaningful sample (not just 5 lucky trades).
  • You can follow your rules without emotional interference.
  • You understand risk management and apply it on every trade.
  • You've experienced a losing streak in demo and handled it calmly.

When you do transition to live trading, start with the minimum deposit ($11 USDT) and the smallest position sizes. The psychological shift from virtual to real money is significant — ease into it.

Demo Limitations

Demo trading is invaluable but not identical to live trading. The key difference is psychology: losing $500 in demo doesn't hurt like losing $500 of real money. Some traders are disciplined in demo and reckless in live. Be aware of this gap and use demo to build habits that will carry over.
